1. O Lord above all Lords, who knew how to unite
   at once upon the altar the Shepherd and the lamb.
   I long with ardent heart to love and to receive
   the One who chose to die for me.
2. The angels grace the sight of such glory and awe
   with deep humility, as they adore your power;
   though they themselves be not so privileged to enjoy
   the Greatest Good become our food.
3. This royal banquet is where our Redeemer gives
   the servant of the Lord a nourishment divine.
