O Lord above all Lords
- O Lord above all Lords, who knew how to unite
at once upon the altar the Shepherd and the lamb.
I long with ardent heart to love and to receive
the One who chose to die for me.
- The angels grace the sight of such glory and awe
with deep humility, as they adore your power;
though they themselves be not so privileged to enjoy
the Greatest Good become our food.
- This royal banquet is where our Redeemer gives
the servant of the Lord a nourishment divine.
Bread of immortal life, reside inside of me
that I be made anew in you.
